Tena S. Grizzell

Tena S. Grizzell, age 56, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021, at her home.  Born Saturday, September 11, 1965, in Stanford, she was the daughter of Mabel Poltson Releford and the late Junior Releford.  Her loving husband, whom she married Saturday, February 19, 1983, is Robert K. Grizzell of Stanford.  Tena worked as a nurse, for many years, with Dr. Beto.  Tena was a member of Hedgeville Baptist Church.  Tena’s grandchildren were her life; she loved spending time with them as often as she could.  Tena also enjoyed the ocean, hiking, gardening, cooking, and canning. 

In addition to her husband and mother, Tena leaves behind two sons, Adam Grizzell (Jamie) of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, and Tim Grizzell of Georgetown, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Hunter Middleton, Brennan Middleton, Kolton Bottom, and Ava Grizzell; one brother, Terry Releford of Danville, Kentucky; and one sister, Rhonda Silverthorn (Neil) of Stanford; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing. 

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home. 

A Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Saturday at the funeral home. Bro. Jonathan Grizzell will officiate the service.  The Funeral Service will be live streamed on Fox & Friend Funeral Home’s Facebook page.

Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.  Adam Grizzell, Tim Grizzell, Mike Grizzell, Tony Grizzell, Jonathan Grizzell, and Clinton Harris will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Terry Releford and Neil Silverthorn will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
