Marie Nicole Zahn

Marie Nicole Zahn, 39, formerly of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022, in Louisville, Kentucky. Born Friday, September 2, 1983, in Indianapolis, Indiana, she was the beloved daughter of Steven F. Zahn and the late Carol (Border) Zahn. Marie graduated from Lincoln County High school and moved to Louisville shortly thereafter. She worked at nearly a dozen bars in Louisville as a beverage director and is well-remembered there for her impact on their local craft cocktail scene.  Marie was also the co-owner of three Louisville establishments: High Horse, Darling’s, and the Spring Street Bar & Grill. Marie loved her dogs, Chico, and Lenny, and was delighted by perfumes, traveling and vintage glamour.

Marie is survived by her father, of Dayton, Ohio; brothers Evan Zahn and Charles Zahn of Dayton, Ohio; uncle Paul Border, aunt Carol Zahn, nephew Atticus Zahn, cousins Alexa Border, Angela F. Soeun, Armand T. Border, and Avalon M. Border.

She is preceded in death by her mother.

A public memorial service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, May 6 at Mt. Moriah Christian Church, 8545 Ky Hwy 1247 in Stanford, Kentucky. Reverend Jim Cook will officiate the service. A burial service will immediately follow at Pentecostal Fellowship Cemetery, 574 Jaycee Park Road, in Lancaster, Kentucky.
