Jennie Marie Gooch Roberts Goodpaster

Jennie Marie Gooch Roberts Goodpaster, age 94, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022, in Danville, Kentucky. Born Saturday, August 6, 1927, in Kings Mountain, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Jemima Elizabeth Rowland Gooch. Jennie had previously owned Goodpaster’s Market. She was a member of Grace Fellowship Church. Jennie enjoyed flowers, gardening, and quilting. Jennie loved to help people and enjoyed visiting with friends and family.

Jennie leaves behind two sons, Jody Roberts (Shirley) of Stanford, and Micah Goodpaster (Tammy) of Waynesburg; one daughter, Brenda Taylor (Jim) of Jamestown, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Jennie was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Roberts; her second husband, E.T. Goodpaster; five brothers, Clyde, Jimmy, Elmer, William, and S.D. Gooch; and one sister, Lela Gilman.

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-2PM Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.

The Public Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Tuesday, at the funeral home. Bro. Vola Brown and Bro. Bill Rhodus will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Ryan Yantz, Joseph Roberts, Jr., Adam Roberts, Jared McQueary, Ethan Goodpaster, and Noah Goodpaster will serve as Active Pallbearers. Laryssa King, and Jimi Dee Clark will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions suggested to the Mt. Moriah Cemetery Fund, Lincoln County Senior Citizens, or Grace Fellowship Church.
