Greta Caldwell Hubble, age 83, of Stanford, Kentucky, formerly of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Friday, February 28, 2020. Born Monday, May 18, 1936 in Waynesburg, she was the daughter of the late Clarence & Etta Gaines Leach. Greta was the widow of the late Leonard E. Hubble, whom she married Saturday, August 5, 1967, and preceded her in death Monday, July 2, 2018. Greta worked as an LPN at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, for many years, and was a member of Parlor Grove Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting and reading.
Greta leaves behind three daughters, Beverly Caldwell Burton (Phil), Jennifer Hubble, and Earla Smith (Roy) all of Stanford; one son, William Baker “Bill” Hubble (Miranda) of Stanford; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Geneva Emerson of Cincinnati, Ohio; and numerous extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her husband and parents, Greta was preceded in death by one son, Edd Caldwell; one infant daughter, Patsy Ann Caldwell; two grandchildren, Michael Smith and Christy Caldwell; one brother, Joe Leach; and one sister, Virginia Carroll.
A Visitation will be held 5-8PM Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held 11:00AM Monday, March 2, 2020 at the funeral home, with Bro. Vola Brown officiating the service. Burial will follow in Jacobs Loop Cemetery. Nathan Burton, Dan Burton, Anthony Smith, Kevin Marks, Phil Burton, and Craig Padgett will serve as Active Pallbearers.
