Eva Foley Johnson

At 10:42PM on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Eva Foley Johnson, age 72, of Somerset, Kentucky, gained her Heavenly wings.  Born Saturday, June 2, 1951, in Stanford, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Ernest & Annie Wilhite Foley.  Her loving husband, whom she married Friday, May 18, 1973, is Richard Edward Johnson of Somerset.  Eva previously worked as a manager for Cone Oil Company, a truck stop in Lebanon, Tennessee, and worked in the dietary department at Oakwood.  Eva loved to read her Bible, loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson, enjoyed watching comedies, and enjoyed cooking.

In addition to her husband, Eva leaves behind one daughter, Evette Godigkeit (Karl) of Somerset; one grandson, Conner Godigkeit of Somerset; one sister, Hazel Gentry of Lebanon, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews and other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Foley and Melvin Foley; and four sisters, Verlie Ann Johnson, Jean Yocum, Bertie Ellen Foley, and Bertha Gooch.

A Public Graveside Service will be held 2:00PM Monday, March 4, 2024, at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery in Waynesburg, Kentucky.  Bro. Kerry Jones will officiate the service. Burial will follow the service.
