Emily Lou Floyd Reynolds Rutherford

Emily Lou Floyd Reynolds Rutherford, age 82, of Science Hill, Kentucky, formerly of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019 at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.  Born Sunday, October 3, 1937 in Casey County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late German & Angenett Salyers Floyd.  Emily Lou retired from Palm Beach after 31 years of work.  She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and previously attended First Baptist Church in Science Hill and FHL of Science Hill.  Her K-9 companion, Louann, brought her much joy over the past several years.  Emily Lou will be remembered as being a true servant to others throughout her life. 

Emily Lou leaves behind 14 nieces and nephews; and numerous other great nieces and great nephews who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Earl Reynolds, Jr. and William “Bill” Rutherford; and four brothers, Lloyd Floyd, Lester Floyd, Lelus Floyd, and Leslie Floyd. 

A Funeral Service will be held 12:00PM Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Floyd officiating the service.  Burial will follow in Double Springs Cemetery.  Emily Lou’s nephews will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Charles & Shirley Dixon; Earl’s nieces:  Paula, Kim, Connie, Elaine, and Greta; and Earl's nephew:  Ronnie will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

The Visitation will be held 10AM-12PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
