Elenora Ridner Mitchell, age 60, of Waynesburg, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 at Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford. Born Tuesday, April 1, 1958 in McCreary County, she was the daughter of the late Delmar and Annie Ruth Hicks Ridner. She was the widow of the late Lealon Mitchell, who preceded her in death April 24, 1996. Elenora was a homemaker, and of the Baptist Faith. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, listening to gospel music, cutting tobacco, canning, and most of all spending time with her grandbabies.
Elenora leaves behind two sons, Christopher Mitchell (Crystal) of Parkers Lake, and Jason Andrew Mitchell (Chasity) of Waynesburg; three daughters, Sharon Foster (Crandell) of Whitley City, Tuesday Katrin Vanover (Leon) of Whitley City, and Samantha Hurd (Joseph) of Parkers Lake; two step-sons, Brankley Mitchell (Rose) of Florida, and Ray Mitchell (Teresa) of Parkers Lake; two step-daughters, Alma “Ce-Ce” Robertson (Bud) of Richmond, and Shelva Jo Mitchell (Glenn) of Parkers Lake; one brother, Ranzy Ridner of Parkers Lake; three sisters, Patricia Ridner, Offie Goodin, and Cathy Ridner of Parkers Lake; a companion, Glenn Kidd of Waynesburg; thirty one grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Tim Robertson; three brothers, Earnest Ridner, Jerry Dale Ridner, and Jeffery Ridner; and five sisters, Alma Higginbotham, Deloris Vanover, Affie Rose, Brenda Perry, and Bonnie Swain.
A Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Parlor Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
The Visitation will be held 6-9PM Friday, September 28, 2018 at the church.
