Edith Patterson Snow, age 86, of Danville, Kentucky, formerly of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021. Born Sunday, May 26, 1935, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Enoch & Lillie Wilson Patterson. Edith was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, playing Bingo and Yatzee.
Edith leaves behind two daughters, Jackie Gibson (Ronald) of Danville, and Virginia “Marlene” Farmer of McKinney, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Shannette Lyttle, Bobbie Jo Caldwell Cassady, Jerry Snow, Michael Snow, JR Kennedy, Nathan Alan Gooch, Robbie Lee Snow, and DJ Snow; 18 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren; special K-9 companion, Rags; two brothers, James Patterson (Jama) of New Whiteland, Indiana, and Joe Patterson (Janice) of Nancy, Kentucky; one sister, Wanda Faye Patton of Ohio; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Thomas Snow and Edward Dean Snow; one grandchild, Richie Gooch; two brothers, Lilburn Lee Patterson and Marshall Harrison Patterson; one half-brother, Ed Patterson; and six sisters, Kattie Sims, Virginia Sims, Myrtle Alvey, Maxine Greer, Pearly Snow Webb, and Betty Jean Robertson.
A Public Visitation will be held 9:30AM-11:00AM Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.
The Public Funeral Service will begin at 11:00AM Thursday at the funeral home. Dr. Steve James will officiate the service. The Funeral Service will be live streamed on Fox & Friend Funeral Home’s Facebook Page.
Burial will follow in KP Hall Cemetery. Jason Caldwell, Jr., Jerry Snow, Jr., Nathan A. Gooch, Morgan Gooch, Elizabeth Ouellette, Bethanie O. Richmond, Sarah Gooch, Nate Gooch, and Micheal Sims will serve as Active Pallbearers. All of Edith’s grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
