Donna Gaye Salyers

Donna Gaye Salyers, age 60, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky.  Born Wednesday, September 28, 1960 in Liberty, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Donald & Norma (Martin) Salyers.  Donna was a Certified Child Care Worker and home maker.  In her spare time, Donna loved to read, spend time with her grandchildren and rest of her family, and she loved animals.

Donna leaves behind two sons, Aaron Salyers (Felicia) of Crab Orchard, Kentucky, and Alex Salyers (Tanya) of Eubank, Kentucky; one daughter, Dana Salyers (James) of Stanford; 12 grandchildren, Detrick Alcorn, Devonta Alcorn, Devin Alcorn, Bryston Alcorn, Jordan Alcorn, Issac Coleman, Michael Sperry, Felicity Walls, Destiny Fultz, Angel Fultz, Sydney Harris, and Jeremy Harris; 2 great-grandchildren, Maddalynn Walls and Landon Dowell; two brothers, Barry Salyers (Susan) of Danville, Kentucky, and Todd Salyers (Katrina) of Stanford; four sisters, Joyce Hamilton (Jim) of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, Joan Ernst of Stanford, Leeann Jones (Ike) of Kings Mountain, and Melissa Cornett of Stanford; special friend, Eddie Burnside; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Salyers; and a special nephew, Matthew Hamilton.

A Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home with Bro. David Gambrel officiating the service.  Burial will follow in KP Hall Cemetery.  Detrick Alcorn, Devonta Alcorn, Bryston Alcorn, Jordan Alcorn, Issac Coleman, and Michael Sperry will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Angel Fultz, Deven Alcorn, and Jeremy Harris will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.  The Public Funeral Service will be live streamed on Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home’s Facebook page.

The Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Saturday at the funeral home. 

Due to current COVID-19 regulations, masks must be worn by all in attendance for the Public Visitation and the Funeral Service; and social distancing guidelines must be followed.
