Darryl Graves

Darryl Graves, age 72, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023, at Stanford Care & Rehabilitation.  Born Monday, November 20, 1950, in Ohio, he was the son of the late Charles & Mary Jenner Graves.  Darryl was the widower of the late Vicky Carla Moore Graves, whom he married Friday, September 25, 1970, and preceded him in death Tuesday, December 7, 2021.  Darryl retired from Weldquip, was the previous pastor of Geneva Community Church, and was a faithful member of Hilltop House of Praise.  Darryl loved spending time with his grandchildren, playing the guitar, and working on clocks.

Darryl leaves behind one son, Jeffrey Graves (Bobbie Jo) of Stanford; one daughter, Amy Martin (Kevin Alcorn) of Stanford; two grandchildren, Taylor Martin (Miranda Mann) and Kali Spurlock (Jordan); three great-grandchildren, Kaeson Martin, Karsyn Martin, and Tavian Taulbee; one great-grandson due June 2023, Ezra Spurlock; one great-grandson due August 2023, Dallas Martin; two brothers, Ernie Graves (Sylvia) of South Carolina, and Nelson Graves of Richmond, Kentucky; and other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Darryl was preceded in death by three brothers, Ronald Graves (infant), Robert Graves, Dennis Graves; and one sister, Frieda Graves (infant).

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home. 

A Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Wednesday, at the funeral home.  Bro. Mike Martin and Sis. Sharon Martin will officiate the service.  The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Darryl’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website.

Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.  Kevin Alcorn, Taylor Martin, Jordan Spurlock, Dustin Taulbee, Nelson Graves, and Ernie Graves will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Members of Hilltop House of Praise will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
