Danny leaves behind his loving wife, Janie Spears, whom he married July 8, 1971; two sons, Dwayne Spears (Kathy) of Kings Mountain, and Daniel Spears (Melissa) of Eubank; two daughters, Victoria Spears (Dennis Whitis) of Garrard County, and Janie “Michelle” Calder (Donnie) of Nancy; two brothers, Glenn Spears (Judy) of Science Hill, and Dewey Spears (Bonnie) of Singletontown; nine grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Delbert and William Spears; and one sister, Elaine Alsom.
Honoring Danny’s wishes cremation rites have been honored. A Private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
