My papaw and hero. It's because of him that I turned out to be the man that I am. I always tried to walk a mile in his shoes. I have done my best to grow up to be as great as he was. He taught me to respect everyone and everything. To all ways do the right thing. I am truly going to miss him every day. Everytime I turn a wrench I know that he is there with me teaching me more things. He is truly an unspoken hero. My hero and role model. I will always love you. One day we will sit in the big porch swing high in the sky talking and laughing. Till we see each other again I will miss you. Love you very much papaw.

It saddens me that I didn't see Uncle Ray one more time. I have many fond memories of him when I was growing up in Kentucky and my family members here in Texas have told me I resemble him when they see pictures of him. May God comfort you all at this time.

My papaw Ray Wilder was truly one in a million. He was one of the greatest men I have ever known. He taught me a lot but probably the most important thing was being nice to people and helping people when you can. He truly lived his life helping others and turning people's bad days into good ones just by putting a smile on their faces. It didn't matter if you was a complete stranger or his best friend he treated everyone with respect and would make you feel better after just talking to him regardless of how bad your day was going. I am going to miss him terribly. I know he will be watching over me until I meet him again in heaven though. I will be happy if I turn out to be even half the man he was. He touched a lot of people's lives while he was here on this earth and I will never forget him.
