Wilma Cason

Wilma Cason, age 89, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023, at her home.  Born Sunday, December 17, 1933, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Lewis & Prudie Napier Martin.  Wilma was the widow of the late Carl Cason, whom she married in 1951, and preceded her in death Wednesday, May 31, 2011.  Wilma previously worked as a sales clerk and was a homemaker.  She was a member of Pilot Baptist Church and loved cooking and eating. 

Wilma leaves behind three sons, Michael A. Cason of Eubank, Carl David Cason of Eubank, and Phillip E. Cason of Cincinnati, Ohio; one daughter, Deborah G. Shrewsbury of Cincinnati; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; one brother, James Carl Martin (Brenda) of Eubank; one sister, Geraline Cress (Charles) of Eubank; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing. 

In addition to her husband and parents, Wilma was preceded in death by one son, Clinton L. Cason; one daughter, Linda L. Lunsford; one brother, Murrell G. Martin; and two sisters, Helen Goode and Gay Richards. 

A Public Visitation will be held 5-7PM Monday, February 20, 2023, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home. 

The Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at the funeral home.  Bro. Kerry Jones will officiate the service.  The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Wilma’s tribute page of the funeral home’s website. 

Burial will follow in Pilot Cemetery.
