William Earl "Bill" LeGere, Jr.

William Earl “Bill” LeGere, Jr., age 71, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at his home.  Born Sunday, July 8, 1951, in Connersville, Indiana, he was the son of the late William Earl LeGere, Sr. and the late Charlotte Elizabeth Fruits LeGere.  His loving wife, whom he married May 26, 1988, is Donna Roberts LeGere of Waynesburg.  Bill was a US Air Force Veteran and worked as a truck driver for many years.  Bill loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  In his spare time, he enjoyed mowing, fishing, reading, painting, photography, and loved animals. 

In addition to his wife, Bill leaves behind two sons, Stephen LeGere of Georgetown, Kentucky, William Earl LeGere III of Winona, Minnesota; two daughters, Christine LeGere Estes (Johnny Ray) of Brandenburg, Kentucky, and Kaitlin LeGere Hager (Joshua) of Waynesburg; “son #3”, Chance Gooch of Stanford, Kentucky; a special son at home; seven grandchildren, Gaven Hager, Lilly LeGere, Carly LeGere, Samuel Estes, Elijah “Will” Hager, Isaiah Hager, and Noah Hager; one brother, Stanley Eugene LeGere (Cheryl) of Connersville; and numerous other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home. 

The Public Funeral Service will be held at 1:00PM Saturday, at the funeral home.  Joe Hixson will officiate the service.  Elvie Dowell, Elmer Dowell, Shawn Poirier, Donnie Gooch, Chance Gooch, and Joseph Morhinners will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

Following the Funeral Service, Cremation Rites will be honored.
