Wendell Ray “Doogie” Hazlett, age 59, of Danville, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023, at his home. Born Monday, December 16, 1963, in Beech Grove, Indiana, he was the son of the late Kelly J. & Thelma Louise Estes Hazlett. Doogie worked for Hazlett Drywall and was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. Doogie will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, fishing, and being a pool shark.
Wendell leaves behind one brother, Kelly J. Hazlett II (Marketta) of Danville; two sisters, Beverly Lay of Danville, and Susan Paulette Hyatt of Colorado; several nieces and nephews; and numerous other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Doogie was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Hazlett.
A Private Graveside Service and Burial will take place in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
