Wanda Faye Bland Leach

Wanda Faye Bland Leach, age 77, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford, Kentucky.  Born Thursday, September 27, 1945, in Liberty, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Elbert & Mayola Wethington Bland.  Her loving husband, whom she married Sunday, September 1, 1963, is Don “Hulie” Leach of Waynesburg.  Wanda previously owned Leach’s Market and worked at Cowden’s Manufacturing.  Wanda was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed drinking coffee. 

In addition to her husband, Wanda leaves behind two sons, Barry Dale Leach (Gina) and Terry Dean “Little Hulie” Leach both of Waynesburg; four grandchildren, Tucker A. Leach (Kristin), Sierra M. Boyd (John), Olivia G. Floyd (Eli), and Hayden Leach; two great-grandchildren, Axel W. Leach and Augustus R. Floyd; one brother, Wayne Bland (Bonnie) of Liberty, one sister, Rosetta Webb of Cincinnati, Ohio; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by one infant son, Jeff Leach.

Public Visitations will be held 5-8PM Monday, August 7, 2023, and 11AM-1PM Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Double Springs Baptist Church. 

The Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Tuesday, at the church.  Bro. Vola Brown & Bro. Jami Hamilton will officiate the service. 

Burial will follow in Leach Cemetery.  Barry Leach, Terry Leach, Tucker Leach, Wayne Bland, Steve Wilkerson, and Brian Wilkerson will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Livy Leach Floyd and Sierra Leach Boyd will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
