Veneda (Caudill) Phillips

Veneda Caudill Phillips, age 94, of Corbin, Kentucky, formerly of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at her home. Born Tuesday, December 9, 1930, in Letcher County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Vernie and Verna Dixon Caudill. Her loving husband was Ernest Roy Phillips, who she married Saturday, September 20, 1952, and preceded her in death on Wednesday September 8, 1993. Veneda was of Old Regular Baptist faith and previously worked at Fort Logan Hospital as a Dietician. She enjoyed walking and working crossword puzzles. Veneda loved taking care of her family and friends, she taught them how to love people, live life to the fullest, and most importantly, she taught them to respect yourself and others.

Veneda leaves behind to cherish her memory, two sons, Wayne Phillips (Wendy) of Ringgold, Georgia, and Greg Phillips (Allison) of Corbin, Kentucky; two daughters, Delores Spalding (James) and Diane Fields both of Corbin; daughters in law, Emily Phillips of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, and Linda Phillips of Dover, Delaware; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; one brother, Russel Caudill (Sharon) of Lancaster, Kentucky; and one sister Geneva McKinney of Hamilton, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, and husband, Veneda was preceded in death by two sons, Tom and Larry Phillips; three brothers, Allen, Hansel and Kenneth Caudill; and two sisters, Josephine Bell and Mary Lou Whitaker. Cremation Rites have been honored.

A Public Visitation will be held 12-2PM Friday, August 15, 2025, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.

A Public Memorial Service will be held 2:00PM Friday, at the funeral home with Bro. Kerry Jones officiating the service.

Private Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
