Thelma Louise Foley, age 95, of Danville, Kentucky formerly of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, in Danville. Born Thursday, March 6, 1930, in Lincoln County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Orbra Felix and Ollie Edna Greer Stonecypher. Her loving husband was Lib Foley, who she married on May 22, 1948, and preceded her in death on April 16, 2011. Thelma was a faithful member of Pleasant View Baptist Church; she loved to garden and can her homegrown vegetables. Thelma was a caring and loving person to many, and she was a woman of unbelievable strength and faith.
Thelma leaves behind to cherish her memory, her caregivers, Harold & Paulette Kilby of Danville, Kentucky; her sister, Ruth Jeanette Russell of Liberty, Kentucky; and several nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Thelma was preceded in death by her son, James Wallace Foley; her grandson, James Nicholas Foley; brother, Raliegh Felix Stonecypher; and sister Barbara Ellen Ballard.
A Public visitation will be held 2:00-4:00pm Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Pleasant View Baptist Church.
A Public Funeral Service will be held at 4:00pm on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at the church. Bro. Jason Kilby will officiate the service.
Burial will follow in Double Springs Cemetery. Eric Stonecypher, Tucker Kilby, JD Kenny, Ronnie Ballard, Rodney Greer, and Jeff Brunson will serve as pallbearers.
