Sue Walls Oney

Sue Walls Oney, age 75, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025, at her home.  Born Tuesday, October 18, 1949, in Lincoln County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Carlos & Pauline Baugh Walls.  Sue was the widow of the late Phillip Glen Oney, whom she married Saturday, December 30, 1967, and preceded her in death Sunday, November 20, 2016.  Sue worked as an EMT, for 25 years, with the Waynesburg Rescue Squad, and worked at the Waynesburg Rest Home for 10 years.  Sue loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.  Sue was a member of Stanford Church of the Nazarene, enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid fudge maker, and enjoyed grilling outdoors. 

Sue leaves behind two sons, Robert Oney (Kayla) of Perryville, Kentucky, and Mike Oney (Marsha) of Stanford; nine grandchildren, Dustin Oney (Danielle) of Waynesburg, Kentucky, Jaclyn Oney of Cleveland, Ohio, Jerred Oney of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, Micah Oney of Stanford, Mia Oney of Stanford, Annaliese Oney of Perryville, Demi of Perryville, Kody Mullins of Stanford, and Kendra Maynard (Austin) of Harrodsburg, Kentucky; five great-grandchildren, Hudson Daniel Oney, Kayson Mullins, Ember Mullins, Graden Hiram, and Gracie Maynard; six brothers, Johnny Walls (Louise) of Science Hill, Kentucky, Buddy Walls (Janie) of Moreland, Kentucky, Donnie Walls (Velma) of Waynesburg, Ronnie Walls of Stanford, Barry Walls (Gail) of Stanford, and Sammy Walls (Ruth) of Lancaster, Kentucky; and numerous extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her husband and parents, Sue was preceded in death by one son, Steven Ray “Stevie” Oney; five brothers, Laymon Walls, Jimmy Walls, Darrell Walls, Norman Walls, and Randall Walls; and one sister, Connie Lee Walls.

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.

A Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Wednesday, at the funeral home.  Dustin Oney and Kody Mullins will officiate the service. 

Burial will follow in Salyers Cemetery in Casey County, Kentucky.  Rob Oney, Mike Oney, Dustin Oney, Jerred Oney, Micah Oney, Kody Mullins, and Kendra Maynard will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Sue’s remaining grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and Sue’s brothers will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
