Stephen Edward LeGere

Stephen Edward LeGere, 36, of Waynesburg, Kentucky passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at his home. He was born on January 5, 1990, in Crawfordsville, Indiana to Donna Sue Roberts LeGere of Waynesburg and the late William Earl “Bill” LeGere, Jr.

Stephen was a security guard for the University of Kentucky Hospital.  He enjoyed playing video games, card games, reading, fishing, and eating spicy foods.  Stephen will be remembered for having a big heart, always smiling, and being a big cut up. 

In addition to his mother, Stephen is survived by two sisters, Christine LeGere Estes (Johnny Ray) of Brandenburg, Kentucky, and Kaitlin LeGere Hager (Joshua) of Waynesburg; two brothers, William Earl LeGere III of Winona, Minnesota, and “the Kids’ Older Brother”; a bonus brother, Chance Gooch of Stanford; seven nieces and nephews, Lilly LeGere, Charlie LeGere, Samuel Estes, Elijah William Hager, Isaiah Ray Hager, Noah Edward Hager and Gaven Hager; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Friday, January 9, 2026, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home. 

A Public Funeral Service will be held 1PM Friday, at the funeral home.  Following the Funeral Service, Cremation Rites will be honored. 

Shawn Poirier, Chance Gooch, Elvie Dowell, Elmer Dowell, Donnie Gooch, the Kids’ Older Brother, and William LeGere III will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
