Soul Ray “C.J. Mays” King, age 26, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 22, 2024. Born Thursday, October 15, 1998, in Brazil, Indiana, he was the son of Susan Tarwater Adkins of Stanford, Kentucky. Soul enjoyed playing video games, was very creative, enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together again, loved fishing and the outdoors, and enjoyed listening to various types of music.
In addition to his mother, Soul leaves behind two sons, Soul Ray King, Jr. of Morehead, and Leon Harold Mays of Ohio; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Graves of Indianapolis, Indiana; one sister, Ariell Cranor (Daniel Bullman) of Indianapolis; one niece, Adeline Bullman of Indianapolis; one nephew, Vincent Bullman of Indianapolis; step-father, Wayne Lambert of Stanford; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.
Soul was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Deloris Mary Tarwater; and maternal grandfather, Orville M.F. Tarwater.
Cremation Rites have been honored.
A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Friday, October 25, 2024, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.
A Public Memorial Service will be held 1:00PM Friday, at the funeral home. Elder James Hunn will officiate the service.
