Sheryl Marie (Becker) McDaniel

Sheryl Marie (Becker) McDaniel, 63, of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, formerly of LaMoille, Illinois, died Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Stanford Health Care in Stanford, Kentucky, following a long illness.

Sheryl was born Wednesday, November 26, 1958, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, to Robert and Dona (Stabler) Becker. She graduated from LaMoille Community High School in 1976 and was a fuel desk attendant for Kroger’s in Georgia for many years.

She is survived by her mother, Dona Becker of LaMoille; the love of her life, Dwaine Cross of Kings Mountain; three children, Kimberly Souba of Geneseo, Illinois,  David Souba (Tracy Dutton) of Neponset, Illinois, and Katie (Matthew) Shevokas of Spring Valley, Illinois; maternal grandmother, Marie Stabler of Sterling, Illinois; four granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jim (Kelly) Becker of Ohio, Illinois, and John (Valerie) Becker of Rio, Wisconsin; two sisters, Mary Anne (Dave) Schwingle of LaMoille and Elizabeth Becker (Pete Porter) of Batavia, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews, along with her aunts and uncles.

Sheryl was preceded in death by her father, Robert Becker.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Cremation Rites have been honored. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
