Sharon Lee Barger

Sharon Lee Barger, age 68, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 24, 2026, at Henson Park Health & Rehabilitation in Danville, KY.  She was born Sharon Lee Sparrow, Friday, July 11, 1958, in Louisville, KY.  Sharon was afflicted with Cerebral Palsy at birth.  She fought through it with extraordinary strength and perseverance.  Sharon was an early Poster Person for WHAS Crusade for Children.  During the past 20 years, Sharon lived in the Harrodsburg, Danville, and Perryville KY areas, where she has many friends. Sharon was a talented artist and enjoyed drawing.

Sharon was preceded in death by parents, Anna Elizabeth and Clinton Woerner; and one brother, Stephen Woerner.

Sharon is survived by one son, Dwayne; one brother, brother Fred Woerner (Detsi) and one sister, Rita Buehner (Denny); special friends and long-term support team, Mandi Price, Kendra Wilson, Megan Newman, Amy Miller, Cindy Mills, Becky White, Amanda Dick, Stephanie Martinez, Angela Criswell, Christina Tinsley, Crystal Frederick, Sam Vaughn, Laura Woods, Justin Garrett, Kisha Sparks, Amy Jo Williamson, Lori Lang, and many others.

A Public Visitation will be held 10:30AM-12PM Friday, February 27, 2026, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home, 312 West Main Street, Stanford, KY 40484. 

A Public Funeral Service will be held 12PM Friday, at the funeral home.  The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Sharon’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website.

Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Danville.  Sharon’s special friends and long-term support team will serve as Active Pallbearers.
