Saundra May, age 75, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Monday, July 26, 2021, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. Born Friday, February 22, 1946, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Alvin & Hazel Williams Ray. Saundra was a homemaker and member of Newell Church of God. Saundra enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching The Five on Fox News, enjoyed finding four-leaf clovers, and was very patriotic and loved her country.
Saundra leaves behind two sons, Rodney May (Jodi) of Science Hill, Kentucky, and Michael May of Eubank; two daughters, Michelle Naylor (Charles) of Eubank, and Ronda Edwards of Somerset; nine grandchildren, Kayla May, Kelsey May, Amanda Roberts, Tyler Roberts, Jimmy May, Trenton Mobley, Kaitlyn Mobley, Chase Keith, and Camryn Keith; five great-grandchildren, Zaria Martin, Jaylee Joseph, Bella Cutter, Bryson Roberts, and Steven VanHook; one brother, Paul Ray (Patti) of Lexington, Kentucky; five sisters, Brenda Noe (David) of Manchester, Tennessee, Linda Himes (Stan) of Crawfordsville, Indiana, Jean Hyatt (Jeff) of Muncie, Indiana, and Theresa McIntyre (Rusty) and Tonya Ray both of Crawfordsville; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, Saundra was preceded in death by her husband, Odell May; two grandsons, Dale VanHook and Joshua VanHook; and two brothers, Jimmy Ray and Arnie Ray.
A Public Visitation will be held 1-3PM Sunday, August 1, 2021, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home.
A Public Funeral Service will begin at 3:00PM Sunday at the funeral home. Pastor Dustin York will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Pilot Cemetery. Charles Naylor, Tyler Roberts, Jimmy May, Hobert Swift, Steven VanHook, and Chris May will serve as Active Pallbearers.
