Sandra Kaye Hornsby Cheek

Sandra Kaye Hornsby Cheek, age 81, born Monday, August 28, 1944, to the late Orie and Louella Shearer Hornsby, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025, in Stanford, Kentucky. She was the widow to the late James Cheek whom she married on Tuesday, March 26, 1963, and preceded her in death on Tuesday, December 23, 2014. Sandra attended Fairview Baptist Church. She dedicated over 20 years to work for Whirlpool. Sandra served on the Lincoln County Fire Department Board and volunteered numerous times at Highland Elementary School.

Sandra leaves behind to cherish her memory, two sons, James and Louis Cheek both of Jacksonville, Florida; two daughters, Mary Warmouth (Edward) of Stanford and Joyce Padgett (Eddie) of Stanford; four grandchildren, Chris Warmouth (Sarah), Cody Warmouth (Victoria), Austin Cheek, and Ethan Padgett; six grandchildren, Brayley Warmouth, Brooklyn Warmouth, Dawson Warmouth, Jayden Warmouth, Lincoln Warmouth, and Ryker Warmouth; one brother Mack Hornsby of Stanford, and two sisters Linda Foley of Bardstown, Kentucky and Alta Hornsby of Monticello, Kentucky.

In addition to her husband and parents, Sandra was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby and Billy Cheek; one grandchild, Toni Cheek; and one brother, Jack Hornsby.

A Visitation will be held Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 5-7PM at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.

The Funeral Service will be 11:00AM on Monday, September 22, 2025, at the funeral home. Bro. Wendell Johnson will officiate the service.

Burial will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery. Chris Warmouth, Cody Warmouth, Dawson Warmouth, Jayden Warmouth, Tristen Hendrickson, and James King will serve as Pallbearers.

The family would like to thank Heritage Hospice, especially Brandy, Caren, and Kim for the excellent care they provided to Sandra before her passing.
