Ruth Stonecypher Russell

Ruth (Stonecypher) Russell, age 81, of Casey County, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at her home.  Born Sunday, July 9, 1944, in Stanford, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Orbra Felix & Ollie Edna (Greer) Stonecypher.  Her loving husband, whom she married Saturday, August 13, 1960, is Eugene Russell of Casey County.  Ruth previously worked as a classroom aide in the Casey County School System.  She was a member of Fort Logan Church of Christ in Stanford and enjoyed traveling.  Ruth loved spending time with her family, especially her three grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Ruth leaves behind one son, Brent DeLynn Russell of Casey County; one daughter, Yvette Tolliver (Robert) of Corbin, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Justin Russell, Russ Tolliver, and Chainey Tolliver; and several extended family members and friends who mourn her passing. 

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by one brother, Raliegh Felix Stonecypher; and two sisters, Barbara Ellen Ballard and Thelma Louise Foley.

Cremation Rites Honored.  No public services will be held.
