Ronald Duane Adams, age 81, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 14, 2026. Born Sunday, February 25, 1945, in Leon, Iowa, he was the son of the late James Harvey & Evelyn Akers Adams. Ronald previously worked at Amana Corporation in Amana, Iowa, Kwik-Way Manufacturing in Marion, Iowa, and retired as a supervisor from Donaldson Corporation in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Ronald was a member of the First Apostolic Church in Danville, Kentucky. Ronald enjoyed working in his yard, walking, and was a University of Kentucky Wildcats fan and Iowa Hawkeyes fan.
Ron leaves behind his wife, Margaret King Adams, whom he married Tuesday, September 17, 2002; four children, Jennifer Lynne Keitges (Joseph) of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Christopher Lee Adams (Carrie) of Centerville, Minnesota, Matthew James Adams (Kim) of Bondurant, Iowa, and Brandon Clayton Broughton of Lancaster, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Katie Spooner (Kelly), Samuel Keitges, Emily Saleh, Maverick Adams (Erin), Lillian Keitges, Kassidy Van Maanen (Maxwell), Charles Keitges, Claire Adams, and Camille Adams; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Florence Evelyn Roth (Jerry) of Katy, Texas; and numerous other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Ann Adams, who passed Sunday, December 30, 2001; one son, David Benjamin Broughton; and one brother, James Bert Adams.
A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Friday, June 19, 2026, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.
A Public Funeral Service will be held 1PM Friday, at the funeral home. Dr. Matthew James Adams will officiate the service. The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Ronald’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website.
Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Joe Roth, Joseph Keitges, Samuel Keitges, Maverick Adams, Lillian Keitges, Charles Keitges, Clair Adams, and Brandon Broughton will serve as Active Pallbearers. Chuck Hislope, Ralph Mullins, Glen Miller, and Warren May will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
