Robert Marshall Padgett, age 84, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020. Born Wednesday, August 26, 1936 in Waynesburg, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Lula Hall Padgett. His loving wife is Leota Tillett Padgett, whom he married Friday, February 14, 1969. Marshall was of the Baptist faith. He was a lifelong farmer, but he enjoyed; traveling, RV’ing, watching UK Basketball and attending antique tractor meets.
In addition to his wife, Marshall leaves behind two sons, Daniel Robert Padgett (Lea) of Pocahontas, Arkansas and Benjamin Marshall Padgett (Renate Michelle) of Waynesburg; six grandchildren, Katie Phillips (Tyler) of Stanford, Kentucky, Madelyn Witte of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Gracie Padgett, Kasey Padgett both of Waynesburg, Annabelle Padgett of Pocahontas and William Henry Padgett of Waynesburg; two sisters, Maxine Hoseclaw of Waynesburg, and Juanita Jones (William) of Waynesburg; two sister in laws, Mildred Padgett of Waynesburg and Frances Padgett of Harrodsburg, Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews whom mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Marshall was preceded in death by five brothers, Howard Padgett (Doris), Russel Padgett (Catherine), Lester Padgett (Veda), Walter Padgett, Lloyd Padgett, Jr.; and one sister Helen Padgett.
A Public Visitation will be held 5-8PM Friday, November 13, 2020 at the Funeral Home.
A Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the funeral home. Bro. Kerry Jones will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Double Springs Cemetery. Ronald Lee Padgett, Herschell Padgett, Gary Padgett, Douglas Jones, Anthony Sluder, Brian Gooch, Tyler Phillips, Matthew Brown and Mark Shelton will serve as Active Pallbearers. Larry Padgett will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to current restrictions, masks must be worn by all in attendance for the Public Visitation and the Funeral Service and social distancing guidelines must be followed.
