Robert I. “Bobby” Muse, age 78, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024, at Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford. Born Saturday, December 8, 1945, in Pulaski County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Boyd Russell Muse and the late Geneva Henderson Muse. Robert was a retired Kentucky State Trooper, after 20 years of service to the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Bobby loved old muscle cars and horses and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Bobby leaves behind two sons, Rob Muse (Betty) of the Highland Community of Lincoln County, Kentucky, and Marc Muse (Kelley) of Stanford; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Bruce Muse (Susie) of Stanford, Rick Muse (Debbie) of Stanford, Jerry Muse (Viola) of Somerset, Kentucky and Tony Muse of Stanford; two sisters, Shirley Singleton of Crab Orchard, Kentucky, and Sue Howell (Chuck) of Lancaster, Kentucky; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by one brother, Steve Muse; and two sisters, Ruth Porterfield and Violet Fern Muse.
A Public Visitation will be held 5-8PM Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.
A Public Funeral Service will be held 11:00AM Thursday, at the funeral home. Bro. Vola Brown will officiate the service.
Burial will follow in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. Jeremiah Hayden, Taylor Muse, Conner Lee, Tanner Lee, Stephen Muse, Justin Muse, Donnie Shackleford, and Bobby Meece will serve as Active Pallbearers. Jimmy Henderson and Rick Muse will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
