Robert Gene "Bobby" Gooch, Sr.

Robert Gene “Bobby” Gooch, Sr., age 88, of Shelbyville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024, in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Born Tuesday, January 7, 1936, he was the son of the late Jimmy Gooch and the late Wilanna Gooch.  Bobby was a United States Veteran, where he served in the US Navy (during the Korean Conflict), and retired from the Army and National Guard.  Bobby also retired from General Motors Assembly Plant.

Bobby leaves behind a special friend; Wanda Sue Hillenburg of Shoals, Indiana; one son, Robert Gene Gooch, Jr.; one grandson, Anthony Robert Logan Gooch; and several extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.  

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by one daughter, Cynthia Gooch; one brother, Johnny; and one sister, Myrna Dean.

A Public Graveside Service, with Full Military Honors, will be held 2:00PM Monday, December 23, 2024, at the shelter of K.P. Hall Cemetery in Kings Mountain, Kentucky.  Burial will immediately follow the service.
