Rita Kay Caudill

Rita Kay Caudill, age 66, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Stanford Crossing.  Born Saturday, February 15, 1958, in Stanford, she was the daughter of the late Clarence & Helen Caudill.  Rita previously worked in the medical field.  Rita loved her family and being a Mamaw Rita to her grandchildren.  She was a member of Olive Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School.  Rita enjoyed reading her Bible, embroidering, and drinking coffee.

Rita leaves behind two daughters, Misty Gail Spoonamore and Kristi Nicole Helena Spoonamore both of Waynesburg, Kentucky; four sons, Kenneth Lee Kidd of Waynesburg, Gregory C. Kidd (Patty) of Waynesburg, Levi Dude Caudill of Stanford, and James Caudill of Harrodsburg, Kentucky; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Junior Caudill of Waynesburg and Randy Caudill of Eubank, Kentucky; five sisters, Bertie Jones of Waynesburg, Bonnie Denny of Waynesburg, Melissa Caudill of Waynesburg, Vickie Kidd of Waynesburg, and Rhonda Denny of Somerset, Kentucky; and several extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by three brothers, Larry Caudill, Donald Caudill, and James Caudill.

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home. 

A Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Wednesday, at the funeral home.  The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Rita’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website.

Burial will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Broughtontown, Kentucky.  Kenneth Kidd, Greg Kidd, Levi Caudill, Junior Caudill, Lance Elmore, and Ely Caudill will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Randy Caudill, Dennis Denny, Sean Waterman, and James Caudill will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
