Richard "Dick" C. Elliott

Richard C. “Dick” Elliott, age 72, of Nicholasville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in Nicholasville.  Born Sunday, February 14, 1954, in Somerset, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Dewey Elliott and the late Cordie Greer Elliott.  Dick was a skilled carpenter, and was a member of New Haven Chapel in Nicholasville, where he was recently baptized. Dick loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Dick leaves behind three sons, Richard Carlisle Elliott, Jr. of Crab Orchard, Kentucky, David Alan Elliott of Nicholasville, and Wayne Oaks of Cynthiana; three daughters, Debra Lee Elliott, Rosia Lynn Elliott of Nicholasville, and Jessica Marie Elliott of Nicholasville; six grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Elliott of Crab Orchard, and Willis Elliott (Carolyn) of Jessamine County, Kentucky; two sisters, Sharon Bane (David) of Nicholasville, and Debbie Peel (Odell) of Nicholasville; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Elliott and James Elliott; and two sisters, Darlene Elliott and Wanda Clark.

A Public Visitation will be held 9:30AM-11:00AM Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.

A Public Funeral Service will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, at the funeral home.  Bro. Don, minister of New Haven Chapel, will officiate the service.  The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Dick’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website.

Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.  Junior Peel, Willie Peel, Travis Peel, Wyatt Jaggers, Dennis Matney, John Siler, and Wayne Oaks will serve as Active Pallbearers.
