R.L. Davidson

R.L. Davidson, age 85, of Neals Creek School Road in Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Friday, May 29, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky.  Born Monday, March 25, 1935 in Lincoln County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late John & Margaret James Davidson.  R.L. was the widower of the late Elizabeth Jarvis Davidson, whom he married Saturday, May 25, 1957, and preceded him in death Friday, January 1, 2010.  R.L. was a US Army Veteran, and was a self-employed plumber, electrician, and construction worker.  R.L. attended Church of God Chapel in Junction City, Kentucky, loved interacting with others, enjoyed reading his Bible, and enjoyed fishing and loved animals. 

R.L. leaves behind one daughter, Judy D. Wright of Stanford; one granddaughter, Carla Perry (Robert) of Salvisa, Kentucky; and three sisters, Wanda Hale of Lancaster, Kentucky, Deva Ramsey (Russell) of Clarksville, Indiana, and Louise Timberlake of Moreland, Kentucky.

In addition to his wife and parents, R.L. was preceded in death by one daughter, Sheila Davidson; one brother, Junior Arthel Davidson; and one sister, Willene Walls.

A Funeral Service will be held 10:00AM Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home with Sister Angela Gellenbeck officiating the service.  Burial, with Full Military Honors performed by the Caswell-Saufley American Legion Post #18, will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens.  Robert Perry, Jerry Davidson, Dan Gellenbeck, Joseph Gellenbeck, Darren Gellenbeck, Randy Brown, Alan Forbes, and Earl Preston will serve as Active Pallbearers. 

The Visitation will be held 5-8PM Friday, June 5, 2020 at the funeral home.
