Peggy Johnson Carrier, age 92, of Danville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at her home surrounded by her Family. Born Thursday, March 2, 1933, in Lincoln County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late James Samuel and Bernie Sears Johnson. Her loving husband was the late Babe Carrier, he preceded her in death on November 28, 2013, after 60 wonderful years of marriage. Peggy was a homemaker and helped Babe on their Dairy and their farm in the Highland community of Lincoln County for many years. She mothered and loved everyone she came in contact with. Peggy’s family was everything to her and she enjoyed life to the fullest.
Peggy leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son Barry Carrier (Patricia) of Danville Kentucky; daughters, Crystal Wesley (Ricky) of Highland , and Lesa Willmott (Curtis) of Harrodsburg; one grandson Joshua Wesley of Danville; two great grandchildren, Jasmine Wesley and Brittan Taylor-Wesley; a brother Rodney Johnson of Hustonville ; a sister Midge Long of McKinney; and several other extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Peggy was preceded in death by one grandson, Adam Carrier and one sister Shirley Dawson.
A Public Visitation will be held 12:00 to 2:00PM Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Mt. Moriah Christian Church.
A Public Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday at the church. Jimmie Sims will officiate the service.
Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Christian Church Cemetery. Joshua Wesley, Brittan Taylor-Wesley, Jasmine Wesley, Hannah Tinney, Raymie Long, and Steven Long will serve as pallbearers. Adam Carrier and Rodney Johnson will serve as honorary pallbearers.
