Obituary
Matthew Jon “Matt” Spaulding, age 62, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. Born Saturday, June 4, 1960, in Waterloo, Iowa, he was the son of the late Donald & Mary Morey Spaulding. His loving wife is Marilyn Henninger Spaulding of Stanford. Matt was a mechanic. Matt loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was a devoted husband, enjoyed fishing and hunting, loved animals, and had several dogs that were part of his family.
In addition to his wife, Matt leaves behind one step-son, Christopher Stockton of Stanford; one daughter, Kimberly Hill (Frankie) of Lexington, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Michael Ahern, Caitlyn Hungate (Renzy Costello), and Daniel Hungate; two great-grandchildren, Paisley Costello and Remington Costello; two brothers, Chris Spaulding (Kathy) of Sebring, Florida, and Tony Spaulding of Evansdale, Iowa; two sisters, Penny Mourer of Tampa, Florida, and Wendy Spaulding of Sebring, Florida; special cousin, Kimberly Gustafson; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Matt was preceded in death by one brother, Greg Spaulding; and a sister-in-law, Debbie Spaulding.
Cremation rites have been honored. Private Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
