Mary Louise (Godby) Criswell

Mary Louise Criswell, age 79, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford.  Born Thursday, May 3, 1945, in Somerset, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Walter A. & Edna L. Godsey Godby.  Mary was the widow of the late Barry Lee Criswell, who preceded her in death Sunday, January 10, 2010.  Mary loved spending time with her family and attended Freedom Baptist Church. 

Mary leaves behind one sister, Judy Kirkpatrick (Keith) of Stanford; one brother, Doug Godby (Becky) of Gainesville, Georgia; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and a host of very close friends whom mourn her passing.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter “Sonny” Godby and Kenneth Godby; and one sister, Betty Sims.

Cremation Rites have been honored.  A Graveside Memorial Service will be held, at a later date, at Beech Grove Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
