Mary Alice Ratliff

Mary Alice Ratliff, age 73, of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021, in Lexington, Kentucky. Born Friday, April 30, 1948, in Danville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Elbert C. and Helen Salyers Durham. Mary was the widow to the late Robert James Ratliff, whom she married, Thursday, March 27, 1969, and preceded her in death on Wednesday, March 12, 2014. Mary worked as an LPN and was a Claims Clerk at Walmart in Stanford, Kentucky, for 27 years.  Mary was an active member of Mt. Olive Christian Church, where she previously taught Sunday School for over 30 years. Mary was a Kentucky Colonel, loved to travel, and enjoyed puzzle books.

Mary leaves behind two sons, Robert Bryan Ratliff (Jayna) of Nashville, Tennessee and James Bradley Ratliff of Kings Mountain, Kentucky; two granddaughters, Madison and Mallory Ratliff both of Nashville; one brother, Roger Dale Durham (Cynthia) of Liberty, Kentucky; and one sister Barbara Jean Wall (Floyd Lee) of Waynesburg, Kentucky.

A Public Funeral Service will be held 10:00AM Monday, November 1, 2021, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Powell officiating the service. Burial will follow in KP Hall Cemetery.

A Public Visitation will be held 5-8PM Sunday, October 31, 2021, at the funeral home.
