Martin David Walls was born Friday, May 13, 1955, in Crawfordsville, Indiana, to the late Marion Robert & Louise (Ilene) Martin Walls. David was a member of the Indiana National Guard and a US Army Veteran. On Friday, February 20, 1976, he married Linda (Harris) Walls of Waynesburg. David was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed sitting on his front porch, on Cemetery Road, and wave at everyone who drove by. David enjoyed working on vehicles, mowing his yard, and drawing. On Monday, September 22, 2025, at 6:38PM, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky, David passed peacefully, from this life, surrounded by his loved ones.
In addition to his wife, David leaves behind two sons, Billy Walls and Jimmy Walls (Anna) both of Waynesburg; special aunt Betty of Waynetown, Indiana; two brothers, Donnie Walls of Crawfordsville, and Steve Davis of Indianapolis, Indiana; four sisters, Deloise Zackery of Salisbury, North Carolina, Lois Melvin of Crawfordsville, Melissa Germain of Indianapolis, and Joyce Watson of Indianapolis; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by four brothers, Johnny Walls, Bobby Walls, Junior Wrightsman, and Danny Walls; six sisters, Violet Walls, Carol Pence, Janice Dowell, Loretta Fuller, Ruby Wrightsman, and Thelma Hoyt; special brother-in-law, Don Fuller; and his special dog, PJ.
A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-2PM Friday, September 26, 2025, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home.
A Public Funeral Service will be held 2PM Friday, at the funeral home. Bro. Ron Shepherd will officiate the service. The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on David’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website.
Burial, with Full Military Honors, will follow in Olive Cemetery.
