Martha (Salyers) Robertson

Martha Robertson, age 89, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Stanford Care & Rehabilitation in Stanford, Kentucky. Born Monday, April 7, 1930 in Casey County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Luther & Mary Jane Floyd Salyers. Her loving husband, whom she married Saturday, April 23, 1949, is Hubert Robertson of Waynesburg. Martha was a homemaker and member of Mount Olive Christian Church.  In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing. 

In addition to her husband, Martha leaves behind one son, Ron Robertson of Waynesburg; two grandchildren, Chad Robertson (Joy) and Shaun Robertson (Kelly); four great-grandchildren, Garrett Robertson, Keagan Robertson, Gabby Robertson, and Carson Robertson; one sister, Elizabeth Carrier of the Highland community of Lincoln County, Kentucky; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by six brothers, John T. Salyers, Clifford Salyers, Vernon Salyers, Herman Salyers, Norman Salyers and Jesse Salyers; and five sisters, Betty Meeks, Estie Elliott, Clytha Godbey, Myrtle Salyers and Bertha Mae Fight.

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM, Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home with Bro. Josh Vanhook officiating the service. Burial will follow in KP Hall Cemetery.  Garrett Robertson, Kegan Robertson, Chad Robertson, Shaun Robertson, Larry Fight, Thomas Godbey Jr., Ricky Fight and Gilbert Gooch will serve as Active Pallbearers. Carson Robertson will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.

The Visitation will be held 5-8PM, Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at the funeral home.
