Linda Kay Carson, age 86, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Cumberland Health & Rehab in Somerset, Kentucky. Born May 8, 1939, in Science Hill, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Oscar & Virginia Taylor Phillips. Linda was a homemaker and worked at Reams factory for many years. Linda loved her grandchildren dearly and enjoyed watching game shows.
Linda leaves behind four sons, Delbert Mitchell (Frances) of Eubank, Phillip Mitchell (Tammy) of Eubank, Dallas Mitchell, Jr. of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Charles Mitchell (Ginger) of Lancaster, Kentucky; two daughters, Jenny Wesley Eubank (Roger) of Somerset, and Brenda Fish (Tony) of Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one sister, Diane Witt (Bobby) of Science Hill; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by two husbands, Dallas Mitchell, Sr. and John Carson; one son, John Michael Mitchell; two grandchildren, Craig Wesley and Michael Scott Mitchell; and one sister, Dean Leach.
A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home.
A Public Funeral Service will be held 1PM Wednesday, at the funeral home. Bro. Jeremy Johnson will officiate the service.
Following the Funeral Service, Cremation Rites will be honored. A Private Burial will take place, at a later date.
