Lillian Avinell (Tackett) Ratcliff

Lillian Avinell Tackett Ratcliff, age 88, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at her residence. Born Saturday, February 4, 1933, in Pulaski County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Perry and Zilla Mullins Tackett. Avinell was the widow of the late Delmer Ratcliff, whom she married Saturday, August 13, 1949, and preceded her in death Tuesday, June 17, 2008. Avinell enjoyed her flowers and gardening.

Avinell leaves behind two sons, Harold Ratcliff (Betty) and Dale Ratcliff (Dorothy) both of Waynesburg; one daughter, Sharon Wilson (Louie) of Waynesburg; five grandchildren, Christy, DJ, Jason, Christopher, and Shana; six great grandchildren, Chasity, Bubby, Laura, Maddie, Hunter, and Waylon; and two great-great grandchildren, Katlynn and Chloe; and two special nieces, Judy Oeters, and Pat Eldridge.

In addition to her husband and parents, Avinell was preceded in death by one daughter, Alice Ratcliff; one brother, Charles (Barbara) Tackett, one infant brother and one infant sister.

A Public Visitation will be held 12:30-2PM Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home.

The Public Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Thursday, January 27, 2022, at the funeral home. Elder Charles Hamilton, and Elder Ralph Slone will be officiating the service. Burial will follow in Clear Fork Cemetery.
