Larry S. Moore

Larry S. Moore, of McKinney, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at the age of 78, following a short illness. 

Larry leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years, Joyce Moore, whom he married Saturday, October 22, 1960; a son, Rickie (Bonnie) Moore of Waynesburg, Kentucky; a granddaughter, Natasha (Joel) Sanford of Science Hill, Kentucky; a grandson, Erick Moore of Lexington, Kentucky; three great-grandchildren, Sadie, Silas, and Sylvie Sanford; and a life-long friend, Phillip Austin.

Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie (Carrier) Moore; father, Raymond Moore; six brothers, Freddie Moore, Walton Moore, Frank Moore, Charles Moore, Benny Moore, Glenn Moore; and one sister, Barbara Jean Smith.

Larry was a faithful member of Green River Pentecostal Church, where he and his wife Joyce served as the church custodians for the past 16 plus years.  Larry was retired from Whirlpool and previously worked at Cowden’s Manufacturing in Stanford for 25 years.  Larry loved to ride motorcycles and enjoyed sweets.

Public Visitations will be held 5-8PM Friday, January 21, 2022, and 11AM-1PM Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Green River Pentecostal Church.

The Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Saturday at the church.  Bro. Rick Naylor & Bro. Gary Yocom will officiate the service.  The Funeral Service will be live streamed on Green River Pentecostal & Fox & Friend Funeral Home’s Facebook pages. 

Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.  Erick Moore, Phillip Austin, Joel Sanford, Keith Young, Orlis Sparkman, Jackie Owens, Shelba Moore, and Jamie Tillett will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Larry’s nieces and nephews will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
