Larry Stephens

Larry Stephens, age 70, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at his home.  Born Friday, April 18, 1952, in Somerset, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Mack Dowell & Susie Turner Stephens.  Larry previously worked at Tecumseh & Sears Glass Shop.  He was a member of Pilot Baptist Church.  Larry was a car enthusiast and previously played softball. 

Larry leaves behind his beloved daughter, Laura Stephens of Waynesburg; son, Scott Stephens of Science Hill, Kentucky; one grandson, Christopher Stephens of Waynesburg; one brother, Wayne Stephens (Jane) of Waynesburg; three sisters, Maxine Salyers and Betty Lou Wall (Marvin) both of Somerset, Kentucky, and Wanda Henderson (Jimmy) of Stanford, Kentucky; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by four brothers, Glen Stephens, Ray Stephens, Lonnie McKinney, and Ronald Stephens; and six sisters, Bonnie Smith, Faye Guinn, Beulah Singleton, Norma Salyers, Joan Stephens, and Margie Hall. 

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-2PM Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home. 

The Public Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Saturday, at the funeral home.  Bro. Doug Carter will officiate the service.  The funeral service will be live streamed on Larry’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website. 

Burial will follow in Pilot Cemetery.  Larry’s nephews will serve as Active Pallbearers.
