Kenneth Sims

Kenneth Sims, age 65, of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021, at his home.  Born Wednesday, July 6, 1955, in Kings Mountain, he was the son of Fern Delores Elliott Sims of Kings Mountain and the late Russell Sims.  Kenneth retired from Tarter Gate and was a farmer.  Kenneth loved his two dogs, Bojangles and Joe, and enjoyed fishing in his spare time.

In addition to his mother, Kenneth leaves behind one son, Kenny Sims of Waynesburg, Kentucky; two daughters, Crystal Sims of Yosemite, Kentucky, and Amanda Kidd (Jeremy) of Indiana; several grandchildren; two brothers, Ronnie Sims (Lisa) and Jody Sims (Jessica) both of Waynesburg; six sisters, Jennifer Colyer (Jerry) of Lancaster, Kentucky, Brenda Eldridge (Tyrone) of Waynesburg, Linda Peavey (Larry) of Liberty, Kentucky, Diane Jones (Mike) of Waynesburg, Elaine Wesley (Jimmy) of Liberty, and Laverne Duff (Paul) of Stanford, Kentucky; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends who mourn his passing. 

In addition to his father, Kenneth was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenny Sims and Donnie Sims.

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home. 

The Public Funeral Service will begin at 1:00PM Wednesday at the funeral home.  Bro. Vola Brown will officiate the service.  Kenny Sims, Larry Douglas, Brent Douglas, Larry Peavey, Jody Sims, and Preston Martin will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Nathan Durham, Joey Sims, Nick Carrier, & Jeremy Kidd will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
