Keith Arnold Austin

Keith Arnold Austin, age 77, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025, at his home.  Born Thursday, January 15, 1948, in Stanford, he was the son of the late William Arnold Austin and the late Hazel Sims Privett.  His loving wife, whom he married Thursday, May 11, 1972, is Kathy Browning Austin of Stanford.  Keith was a U.S. Army Veteran and previously owned his own fencing company.  Keith loved the outdoors, where he enjoyed hunting with his beloved dogs and enjoyed fishing.  Keith was a member of American Legion Post #345 in Stanford and was a member of McKinney Baptist Church.  Keith also enjoyed playing Poker and cards with his family and friends, enjoyed watching Westerns, game shows, and loved the History & Lifetime channels.  Keith will be remembered for being a “cut up” and always enjoyed picking on those that he loved.

In addition to his wife, Keith leaves behind two daughters, Keithandra Austin Lowry (Robert) and April Lyn Ramsay both of Stanford; one grandson, William Denver Crossfield of Stanford; one niece, Jaqueline Gibson Harless (Ron) of Butchertown, Kentucky; two nephews, John Gibson (Tonia) of Morehead, Kentucky, and Charles Hale of Stanford; his beloved K-9 companion, Weasel; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by one son, Jason Keith Austin; step-father, Tommy Privett; two sisters, Kay Nona Austin Hale (twin) and Karen Naomi Austin Patterson; two nieces, Teresa Kay “TT” Taylor West and Paulette Gilpin; and three nephews, Michael Paul “Batmite” Patterson, Bobby R. Means, and William “Billy” Arnold Means.

A Public Visitation will be held 5-7PM Monday, February 24, 2025, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.

A Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at the funeral home.  Bro. Greg Lockard will officiate the service. 

Burial, with Full Military Honors, will be held 2:30PM Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
