Kathleen Maggard Rice

Kathleen Maggard Rice, age 95, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at her home.  Born Friday, February 1, 1929, in Perry County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Harlan & Thelma Taylor Gross.  Kathleen previously worked as a store manager for United and was an active member of Hilltop House of Praise.  In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and crocheting. 

Kathleen leaves behind two sons, Roger Dale Maggard (Irene) of Bacolod, Philippines, and Gregory Lee Maggard (Marsha) of Stanford; one daughter-in-law, Carleen Maggard of Cross, South Carolina; 5 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by two husbands, Ernest Maggard and Roy Rice; one son, Michael Glenn Maggard; and one sister, Doris Smith.

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.

The Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Wednesday, at the funeral home.  Bro. Mike Martin & Bro. David Kidd will officiate the service.  The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Kathleen’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website.

Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.  Greg Maggard, Jesse Maggard, Eric Maggard, Jason Brewer, Jesse Abney, Sam Rose, Greg Smith, and Daniel Wilder will serve as Active Pallbearers.
