Katherine Jane "Katie" Shoemaker

Katherine Jane “Katie” Shoemaker, age 34, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Friday, June 12, 2026, at UK Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, with her loved ones by her side.  Born Monday, July 29, 1991, in Danville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Homer Ray & Bonnie Katherine Miracle Shoemaker of Stanford.  Katie enjoyed taking rides and taking care of her bearded dragons, Falcor and Copper.

In addition to her parents, Katie leaves behind her companion, Melissa Doud of Stanford; one brother, Mitchell Dale Miracle (Nichole) of Hustonville, Kentucky; four nieces, Draven Tharp, Zayli Miracle (Devin Jones), Katherine Miracle, and Kennedy Miracle; two great-nephews, Dakota Mitchell Lee and Silas Glenn Dale; and numerous other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.

Katie was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Glenn & Wanda Miracle; paternal grandfather, William Homer Shoemaker; and aunt, Gwen “Gwennie” Southerland.

A Public Visitation will be held 5-8PM Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.

Following the Visitation, Cremation Rites will be honored.
