Karen Lavon Tackette Phillippe

Karen Lavon Tackette Phillippe, age 74, of Hustonville, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025, in Stanford, Kentucky.  Born Friday, June 16, 1950, in Somerset, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Jasper & Deltie Mae Bastin Tackette.  Karen was the widow of the late Michael Hayden Phillippe, whom she married Saturday, December 16, 1972, and preceded her in death Sunday, June 21, 2020.  Karen was an LPN and previously worked at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, and several doctor’s offices in Somerset.  Karen was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed quilting, cooking, and raising hunting dogs with her husband Michael.

Karen leaves behind one sister, Veronica Lynn Tackette of Hustonville; and several friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her husband and parents, Karen was preceded in death by one brother, Shannon Dale Tackette; and one sister, Sheila Dian Tackette.

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.

A Public Funeral Service will be held 1PM Tuesday, at the funeral home.  Bro. David Fralix will officiate the service.

Burial will follow in Double Springs Cemetery in Waynesburg, Kentucky.
