Judy Walls Daugherty

Judy Walls Daugherty, age 83, of Lexington, Kentucky, formerly of McKinney, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 17, 2024, at The Willows of Harrodsburg in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Born Wednesday, April 9, 1941, in Lincoln County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late James & Bernice Eggart Walls. Judy was the widow of the late Russell Daugherty, Jr., who preceded her in death Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Judy previously worked for the Fayette County Public School System and was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Lexington. Judy was a big University of Kentucky fan.

Judy leaves behind one grandson, Justin Keith Daugherty (Annie Davies) of Lexington; one brother, Bill Walls (Barbara) of Stanford, Kentucky; one nephew, Greg Walls (Valerie) of Stanford; one niece, Gina Cooper (Roger) of Stanford; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing. In addition to her husband and parents, Judy was preceded in death by one son, Russell Keith Daugherty.

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-12PM Friday, August 23, 2024, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home, 312 West Main Street, Stanford, KY 40484.

A Public Funeral Service will be held 12:00PM Friday, at the funeral home. Bro. Ron Cook will officiate the service.  The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Judy’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website.

Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Justin Keith Daugherty, Greg Walls, Roger Cooper, Tim Tillett, Andrew Cooper, and Matthew Cooper will serve as Active Pallbearers.
