John Harvey Jenkins, age 78, of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at his daughter's home in Stanford, Kentucky. Born Thursday, November 14, 1946, in Stanford, he was the son of the late John A. & Alberta Adams Jenkins. John was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam Veteran, who actively served 1965-1969. John retired, after 20 plus years of work, as a Patient Aide at Oakwood in Somerset, Kentucky. John was an active member of Pleasant Point Baptist Church, enjoyed fishing, and was a big UK basketball fan.
John leaves behind three sons, Brad Jenkins (Alysia) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Darrin Jenkins (Danielle) of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, and Robert Jenkins (Jennifer) of Lexington, Kentucky; one daughter, Sarah Jenkins (Duane Wooldridge) of Stanford; and 12 grandchildren, Todd Jenkins, Will Jenkins, Ty Jenkins, Brenna Jenkins, Alex Jenkins, Charlie Jenkins, Abigail Jenkins, Madelynne Jenkins, Cameron Wooldridge, Lucy Anderson, Audrey Wooldridge, and Gracie Wooldridge.
Public Visitations will be held 5-8PM Sunday, March 30, 2025, and 9AM-11AM Monday, March 31, 2025, at Pleasant Point Baptist Church.
A Public Funeral Service will be held 11:00AM Monday, at the church. Bro. Gary Parker will officiate the service. The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on John’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website.
Burial, with full military honors, will follow in Pleasant Point Cemetery. Ty Jenkins, Lanny Hubbard, Michael Jenkins, Mickie Goforth, Alan Wall, Lee Sims, William Robert Hubbard, and Wade Watts will serve as Active Pallbearers. Todd Jenkins, Alex Jenkins, Brenna Jenkins, Will Jenkins, Lucy Anderson, Abigail Jenkins, Audrey Wooldridge, Charlie Jenkins, Gracie Wooldridge, and Madelynne Jenkins will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
